The interior was made using InDesign. while the cover was designed in Affinity and is a photocomposition.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

This project included the cover design, typesetting, and page layout for the book “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” by L. Frank Baum. It was made with Affinity, a software program I’ve been learning with over the last few projects I’ve worked on. I also drew the chapter opener illustration in Procreate.
The cover (upper left) was created as a composition of different assets, some from stock and some made by me.
The chapter opener illustration (below) was drawn in Procreate and exported to use as an asset in the interior format of the book.

Se realizó con Affinity, un software que he estado aprendiendo a utilizar en los últimos proyectos en los que he trabajado. También dibujé la ilustración de inicio de capítulo en Procreate.
La portada (arriba izquierda) fue creada como una composisión de diferentes elementos, algunos de stock y otros creados por mí.
La ilustración de comienzo de capítulo (debajo) fue dibujada en Procreate, exportada y utilizada como elemento decorativo en el formato interior del libro.

This particular project was made with Affinity, a software I was not familiar with. The objective of the project was to learn the software while creating the cover and the book’s page layout.

Grimm’s Fairy Tales

Personal project that included the cover design, typesetting, and page layout of the classic “Grimm’s Fairy Tales”, written by Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm.
My objective was to create an original illustrated cover and design design layouts of the book for PDF and ePub.
The learning process included troubleshooting accessibility issues and ensuring the correct display of the ePub across programs such as Kindle Previewer and Calibre’s e-book viewer.

Mi objetivo con el proyecto fue ilustrar la portada y diseñar las páginas para el libro en formato PDF y ePub.
Parte del aprendizaje incluyó solucionar problemas de accesibilidad y asegurar la correcta lectura del formato ePub en diferentes programas, tales como Kindle Previewer y el lector de libros de Calibre.

This is a personal project. It included the cover design, typesetting, and page layout of the classic “Don Quixote” by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra.
During the research stage of this project, I noticed that most Spanish covers appear dated. This observation led me to set my objectives: I wanted to design a modern-looking cover that incorporates classic elements, helping the book stand out from other editions.

Durante mi investigación de portadas para este libro, noté que la mayoría tenían un estilo anticuado. Esto me llevó a fijar como objetivo el crear un diseño con un estilo moderno e incorporar, al mismo tiempo, elementos clásicos que lo hagan destacar del resto de las ediciones.
